www.chinabuses.org: On August 15th, 2011, Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zhongtong Bus) signed memorandum of strategic cooperation with Continental AG Investment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Continental AG), which would promote technical exchange and business cooperation of both sides.

General manager of Zhongtong Bus SUN, Qingmin, deputy general manager YU, Chunyin, CTO WANG, Qinpu and APAC president of Continental AG Commercial Vehicle Department Francois Schoentgen attended the ceremony. Mr Sun and Mr Schoentgen signed the memorandum.

This activity would promote all-round cooperation on product & service innovation of both sides and boost exploration and cooperation on complete vehicle intelligent control, safety performance improvement and new energy bus control with respective market advantages and specialities for win-win progress.

As we know, cooperation between Zhongtong Bus and Continental AG started from 2007. After so many years, both sides expected for further cooperation for mutual development. This time they would work together to explore and study solutions to meet the customers’ requirements, being No.1 in complete vehicle industry, according to the development tendency of commercial vehicles.

At the ceremony, Mr Schoentgen spoke highly of the development of Zhongtong Bus. He said, Zhongtong Bus did a great job at home and abroad, especially in Brazil. Excelling in new energy, Zhongtong’s emphasis on energy-saving, safety and intelligence was what Continental AG concerned about as well. Mr Schoentgen claimed the cooperation with Zhongtong was valued and all-round technical exchange would be arranged as soon as possible.

At the ceremony, both sides said the signing would surely broaden the cooperation field and as a new start, they must mutually develop in the near future.
