CSR Times Gets National Financial Support for Electric Buses

www.chinabuses.org: Recently, Hunan CSR Times Electric Vehicle Co.,Ltd (CSR Times for short) has got the financial support for Special Project of Electric Vehicles of National Program 863 with two projects of “profound technology breakthrough of industrialization of hybrid power buses” and “technology breakthrough of industrialization of plug-in hybrid power buses”, referring to 20.87 million Yuan RMB from Ministry of Science and Technology.
In 2001, CSR Zhuzhou Institute Co. Ltd has firstly stepped into the field of electric vehicles with the national research and development platform of the special project on electric vehicles of Program 863. CSR Times has mastered the technologies of electric, serial hybrid power and parallel hybrid power buses, in particular, of motor and motor control system, storage system and power matching, becoming the biggest domestic supplier of systems of electric vehicles as well as related key components.
At present, the hybrid power city buses independently developed by CSR have been operated in the cities such as Changzhutan, Kunming and Tianjin, and the operated CSR electric vehicles account for almost one third of the promoted ones with proprietary intellectual property rights in China, with the best level in the respect of operation mileages, fuel saving ratio and attendance ratio for service.
