50 Hengtong New Energy Buses Serve Hohhot

www.chinabuses.org: On 14 July, 50 Hengtong gas-electric hybrid power buses have been formally operated in Hohhot. As leading China gas bus builder, Chongqing Hengtong Bus Co., Ltd. (hereafter Hengtong Bus for short) takes the leading of the innovation of China environment friendly buses and the development of new energy auto technology, contributing to the development of China new energy buses.
During 2008 and 2009, Hengtong Bus cooperated with the domestic famous engine and battery producers to successfully develop gas-electric hybrid power city buses: CKZ6126HENV3, which requires the application of gas-electric hybrid power system in the relevant working situation, the technologies of matching and control of complete vehicles, of battery management, of the control of gas engine, of motor and CAN bus.

Since operation in Chongqing in last June, the various technical indexes of CKZ6126HENV3 buses all come to the designed level. The buses perform well in steadiness, strong power, easy operation, low noise, obvious emission-reducing and high reliability. The average gas saving ratio reaches about 25%. It is predicted the operation of these new energy buses will reduce the emission of 86 tons in Hohhot each year.
