Foreign Capital Can not Exceed 50% in New Energy Bus JV

www.chinabuses.org: At present, the National Development and Reform Commission has issued the “Guide Catalogue of Foreign Capital Industry” (hereinafter referred to as “catalogue”) which changes the open policy of the auto parts and stipulates that establishment of new energy bus joint venture is encouraged, but the foreign capital can not exceed 50%, which immediately aroused the attention of the all the parts company.
Foreign Parts Companies Shows “Siege” Momentum
At present, it is mostly likely that, in the world, electric bus will firstly be commercially widely used in China, which is because of the Chinese policy, state grid and market potential. Based on this advantage, foreign capital parts companies start to collectively “siege” the domestic electric bus market.
In the Shanghai Auto Show of 2011, the multinational parts tycoons including Bosch, Johnson Controls, Continent Group and Delphi are striving to showcase their parts technology, especially in the field of new energy and electric automobile. The solutions that Bosch have provided includes charger, power electronics, motor, powertrain components including control unit, high-voltage batteries, braking system, thermal management, charging device, regenerative braking system and so on. One of the staffs introduced that batteries that Bosch and Samsung jointly produced have been used in the BMW pure electric vehicle Active-E. Also, the joint company with Mercedes-Benz which will produce batteries that used in Benz and Smart electric vehicle and provide batteries for other auto companies is in the schedule.
Delhpi, known for its battery management system, also introduced its electric vehicle series to China. Delhpi call its battery management system “Power Electronics”. Li Ming, chief engineer in the Asia Pacific Zone, told the reporter that the electrification of the powertrain and its integration in the electric supply system are the two key points of the design of the hybrid power, electric vehicle and electrical and electronic structure. Delphi has developed the components and system which could achieve safe and efficient high-voltage power distribution, through shielding, heat dissipation, electric shock protection, weight loss, new materials and minimization techniques. At the same time, we must consider the design elements and the possibility of producing large amount with the most economical cost.
