Minister Wan Gang Visits Ankai Electric City Buses

www.chinabuses.org: On 17 April 2011, Wan Gang, minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology visited Technology Center of JAC Motors and attended the ceremony of private purchasing of new energy vehicles in Hefei, themed by “Green Car, Harmonious Society”. He took Ankai electric city bus in No.18 bus route and specifically learnt the operation conditions of electric city buses.
During the visiting, Peng Lihuang, Chairman of Hefei Public Transport Group introduced to minister Wan that these buses have been operated for over one year, driving range of 60,000 kilometers and perform better than conventional buses in environment protection as well as energy saving. In addition, minister Wan visited the PLUG-IN electric bus newly developed by Ankai Bus and highly appreciated of continuous innovation of Ankai Bus. The constant driving range of Ankai PLUG-IN electric bus can reach over 300km when air-conditioner closes and over 230km when air-conditioner open.
It is known that there have been 30 Ankai electric city buses in operation in the bus routes of No.18, No.60 and Express No.1 in last January in Hefei. No.18 is the first route where all electric buses run in the world. With the operation for one year, these buses are highly appraised by the local transport operators and citizens for good after-sales service as well as performance.
Minister Wan Gang Visits Ankai Electric City Bus
At present, there have been more than 400 Ankai electric buses in operation in the cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian and Hefei, accounting for over 80% market shares. The proportion of new energy buses is growingly increasing among its products. Ankai Bus holds the objective of the realizing of the production capability of over 3000 new energy buses by 2012. In the meantime, it keeps innovation in marketing and has promoted the cell leasing for electric buses in Hefei, Dalian and Shanghai since 2009 and cooperated with the State Grid to develop new electric buses in order to reduce customers’ capital risk and ensure maintenance & replacement of batteries.
With the forthcoming issuing of “Development Plan of Energy-saving and New Energy Auto Industry”, the visiting of minister Wan Gang of new energy industry in Hefei makes great influence on the development of China new energy auto industry. Also, Ankai Bus will contribute to the construction of new energy industry with luxury and new energy buses in Hefei.
