Good Sales of Light Buses in China in 2011

www.chinabuses.org: In the first two months of this year, the total sales volume of light buses is 48494 units (including incomplete vehicles), year-on-year growth of 22.16% in China. In Feb., the sales volume of Brilliance Jinbei is 6460 units, y/y growth of 23.61%, 12872 units in Jan.-Feb., y/y growth of -4.13%; 3336 Transit light buses were sold in Feb. (9291 units in Jan.-Feb., y/y growth of over 20%); Naveco sells 2575 units (7628 units in Jan.-Feb., y/y growth of over 50%), 3668 Foton View light buses were sold in these two months, y/y growth of less than 10%.
Some expert revealed that, “European models are the focus of the light bus market this year, also, the market pattern of the competition between Haise models and European models is gradually replaced by the various light bus models.”
At the beginning of this year, the light bus builders all show cautious for the development of the light bus market and it is commonly believed that the growth rate of the light buses remains about 10%. In the short term, the main importing counties of light buses suffer from the political upheaval, possibly it will affect the exporting achievements. However, there are some favorable factors to promote light bus market due to the speeding-up of urbanization, distribution logistics and electronic commerce. “It is an important breakthrough point of specialized logistics and urban logistics because of high market demand. The development of light bus market is expecting from this respect”.
