The First BYD Pure Electric City Bus to Run in Danmark

www.chinabuses.org: The biggest Danmark public transport company, Movia, signed cooperation agreement with BYD on March 10th. Two BYD K9 pure electric city buses will run in Copenhagen.

After tests by Movia Company, K9 city buses will run in capital of Danmark according to reports by Danmark national television station.
As the first BYD pure electric bus, K9 rolled off production line on Sept. 30, 2010 in Changsha. Warren Buffett and Bill Gates became the first riders.
It is introduced that K9 is equipped with lots of BYD latest technologies. Solar-cell panel is placed on roof of the bus to provide additional power for running. The high-quality chassis and suspension can reduce noises largely. BYD Li-ion battery can power the bus to run as long as 250 km with zero emission.
"Danmark clean energy can be found in Danmark, and I am happy to see that Chinese clean energy company can test their products in Danamrk,”said Lene Espersen, secretary of Foreign Affairs of Danmark.
As the biggest public transport company in Danmark, Movia operates 570 bus lines and 15,000 bus stations, and they are serving for 2,400,000 residents in eastern Danmark.
