25 January 2011
www.chinabuses.org:Recently, it is known from GAC HINO (Shenyang) Motors that the Euro Ⅳ standard for large buses will be implemented in this year. The vehicles that were operated after 2006 have to comply with the Euro Ⅲ. Some bus builders such as GAC Hino, Foton and King Long Bus have prepared for the new standard in recent two years.
Since 2009, the domestic sales of large and medium buses remains steady growth and keeps on good trend in 2010. Some expert predicts that it will maintain the growth of about 20% due to the prosperity of tourism as well as high-end transportation and decreasing impact of passenger diversion due to railway transport. In Sichuan region, the development potential of road transport is grave and it is also one of the important markets for the various bus builders.
According to Li Qiang, the minister of Sales Department of GAC HINO (Shenyang) Motors, this company has launched a series of fuel-saving and environmental buses such as SFQ6115 and SFQ6123 for high-end passenger transport, tourism and group service, worth of 600,000-800,000 Yuan. And it focuses on the markets in Beijing, Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta in the first phase. FOTON AUV BUS has basically completed technology improvement in 2008 and get the annual production volume of 5000 units, continuously launching monocoque large buses with more advantages in performance, comfort and fuel consumption than semi-monocoque ones.
