For a long time, the battery energy density and charging time become the bottleneck to restrict the development of electric buses. The operated buses apply the rapid charging technology and full charging takes about 10 minutes, affording to the constant driving range of 30 to 50 kilometers. The win-win partnership for both parties marks the further step for Zhongtong new energy buses from test operation to large-sized business operation.
Dengping, the Executive Director of Hengtong Bus and Wu Yang, the Chairman of Microvast visit Huzhou Rapid Charging Station
Dengping, the Executive Director of Hengtong Bus said that, "I am convinced that the battery and charging technologies can meet the requirements of the current transit when learning Microvast and we cooperate with it for the production of electric buses."
The new generation of Hengtong electric city buses are equipped with new rapid charging li-ion battery pack (long service life, 50KWh) and start energy regeneration in the process of braking, advantageous in retarding and usage life of braking system.
On the same day, the journalists and the representatives from transit companies took the electric bus with the range of over 40 kilometers. During the about two hours' running, the bus operated normally as the conventional city bus and performed well in acceleration as well as deceleration.
