On 28 December 2010, the 10,000th Ankai bus formally rolled off the production line in 2010 and drove out of the plant. Ankai Bus became another bus builder with the annual production of 10,000 units after Yutong, King Long, Higer and Golden Dragon.

Introduction of World Advanced Technology
In 1993, Ankai Bus formally started the cooperation with the Germany partner-SETRA and introduced the world-leading technology-monocoque. Such cooperation promotes the joint ventures of China bus builders and foreign manufactures, e.g., Yaxing and Benz in China then. China bus builders developed products and gradually bridged the gap with the world level and the technology introduction of Ankai Bus plays important role in the achievements.
Products Development
It is harder to digest and absorb the advanced technology after introduction as well as studying. Ankai staffs made great efforts in each detail and developed their special features based on the good resources in technical improvements, products design, assembly and management. Ankai Bus accumulated rich experience and resources of the manufacturing of luxury buses. When mentioned luxury buses, “Ankai Bus” always appear in the people's mind and actually it is just the advanced bus facilities and technology such as retarder, disk braking, argon arc welding and metallic paint. In 1997, the buses (high-class three) should been based on the monocoque structure according to the regulation. Blending with its own creation and innovation, Ankai bus have developed a large series of buses including the over 130 types of products from 8.4m to 18m covered luxury coaches, intercity buses, tourist buses, city buses and others since the introduction of monocoque in bus manufacturing in 1993. In 2008, it got the certification of inventive patent for monocoque body.
In addition, Ankai buses successfully passed through the first rollover test for buses in China in 2005; its 13.7m buses got the safety certificate according to ECE-R66; it carried on the first engine cooling test and lab test with the cooperation with Cummins.
More Prosperity in the Future
"German Quality and China Price" brings the market opportunities to China and also Ankai staffs are not satisfactory with the existing achievements and are preparing for the further development. It is known that Ankai Bus is enlarging the production capacity of electric buses for the market demand. Based on its plan, the production capacity of Ankai new energy buses will reach 3000 units by 2012 (1000 units currently) and Ankai Bus strives for the one of the leading new energy bus builders in the world.
