www.chinabuses.org: Sales of Beiqi Foton commercial vehicles has been the first in China for six consecutive years, and now they are making new goal of becoming the first in the world, the thinking was expressed by Liu Guoqiang, deputy general manager of Beiqi Foton.

　　
Beiqi Foton annual sales will exceed 700,000 units this year, up 8%. But it is still a long way to go to be the biggest commercial vehicles manufacturer in the world. As Mr. Liu said, they can only achieve this goal by development of new energy vehicles.

　　
Quite a few Foton hybrid buses had been running in Beijing two years ago, including hybrid city buses and pure electric sanitation vehicles. Foton had comparative complete production lines at that time. Foton pays much attentions on development of new energy vehicles.

　　
New energy vehicles is a challenge but also an opportunity for Beiqi Foton, and their sales goal for next year are 800,000 units, and one third of which will go to overseas markets. Apart from traditional markets in Southeast Asia and Middle East, Foton new energy buses have got EU certificates.
