Currently all city buses running in Beijing are over Euro 3 emission standards, with 45% Euro 4 emission standards. In the future, all the new city buses will be environmental protection vehicles, and apart from diesel city buses with Euro 5 emission standards, hybrid vehicles, electric vehicles and pure electric city buses will also be used in Beijing public transport networks.
