Foton AUV Bus Overseas Markets Surges

www.chinabuses.org: In recent years, Foton AUV sales on overseas markets are soaring and sales on overseas markets increased by 87% in the first seven months, much higher than the growth in China bus industry. Apart from achieving their sales goal this year, and Foton sales target will also raise from 5,500 units to 6,800 units next year. Since started to export buses in 2005, Foton AUV overseas inventory has reached over 5,000 units. Apart from traditional export markets, Foton Bus is also concentrating on bus export to the US and Britain.

Foton AUV contributed on development of new energy buses since 2003, and their export products are mainly hybrid buses and pure electric buses. Currently Foton hydrogen fuel cell buses, CNG city buses and electric buses are all developing rather fast. Foton hybrid city buses were commercially sold in 2005, their fuel cell buses were enrolled in “863” vehicle program in the eleventh five-year plan. Foton buses rate of attendance reach 98%, and average fuel prudent are over 25%.
  

Till now, Foton AUV buses have been exported to Hongkong, Taiwan and Russia etc. countries and regions. Seventy-five Foton AUV hybrid buses were exported to Taiwan to serve Tiabei City and Taibei County. And the customer expressed that they will continue to purchase Foton buses, and the total number will amount to 700 units. During Shanghai Expo this year, Israel Environment Minister visited Foton AUV, and he said that he will collect related info and report his inspect on Foton AUV to Israel Ministry of Transport and Finance Department.
  

In terms of brand build, Foton AUV made great efforts on establishing FOTON AUV brand values on quality, after-sales services, and its contribution on local economy and environment.
  

Foton AUV divide the export markets into three sections, developed markets, such as Europe and North America; Developing markets, including BRIC countries, Singapore, South Africa and Mexico; as well as traditional markets, like Africa except South Africa. 
    

Foton also makes their development plan in future, “5+3+1”, namely, they will build five overseas plants in Brazil, India, Russia, Mexico and Thailand, they will try to export high-end buses and engines to Western Europe, the US and Japan and South Korea, and also they will make good use of the new energy opportunity to develop passenger vehicles.
