Fuel Consumption

This transport company has used Higer buses since 2002 and owned 55 Higer buses at present. It purchased three 55-seat KLQ6129 buses in January 2010 and was one of the first companies with application of G-BOS. Higer engineers follow up the operation data for these vehicles. The fuel consumption is basically 28～30L/100km for 3 buses. Just through data comparison from G-BOS, the fuel consumption effect is obviously shown.

Outstanding Effect

1. Control of ultra-highspeed Driving:
Trough data comparison for two weeks, it finds that the ultra-highspeed (more than 120km/h) accounts for about 4.69% and the idle speed (0km/h )reaches 30.86% in the first week while no ultra-highspeed and idle speed only 24.63% in the second week.

2. Improvement of Driver' s Behavior:
Through data comparison for two weeks, it finds that the operation time for economic operation (1100r/min～1600 r/min) takes 39.51% in the first week while 45.41% in the second week. The fuel economy effect is improved.

3. Reducing Idle speed & air-conditioner for long time:
It seems a necessarily for tourist buses to open air-conditioner for long time for passenger's requests. Through data comparison for two weeks, it finds that the application time for air-conditioner is 7.5 hours (18.95%) in the first week while 5.98 hours (15.24%) in the second week. Also, the drivers pay attention to the timely flameout of engine in necessary.

According to the data comparison from G-BOS, the good driving habit and operation experience has fast been learnt and implemented. After training of drivers, the average fuel consumption for the transport company has reduced to about 25~26 L (from 28~30 L). It saves almost 100,000 Yuan if 3L fuel saved per hundred kilometers for one bus.
