Seven domestic bus builders joined the bidding. Yutong and Yaxing were chosen after through considerations on quality, markets shares, after-sales services as well as reputation.

　　
Medium bus quitting has started at the same time. Till now, there are about 206 private medium bus owners have signed the contract and 67 private medium bus owners have got subsidies to start a business. Lhasa city government also tries to buy the quitting medium buses to avoid possible traffic accidents.

　　
The 232 newly bought city buses will join operation with the existing 109 city buses, so the total 341 city buses will meet citizens transport needs for Lhasa.
