China Fujian Province to Purchase 1,650 City Buses

www.chinabuses.org: It is learn from official website of Fujian Board of Transport that Fujian Province plans to place 1,000 city buses in three cities, namely, 300 units in Fuzhou, 200 units in Xiamen and 500 units in Quanzhou as well as 650 natural gas city buses including 350 units in Fuzhou and 300 units in Xiamen to improve public transport service level.
A senior official from Fujian Board of Transport told our reporter that they paid much attention on the activity by establishing expert squad to guide and supervise local governments.
The city bus replacement is to make convenience for citizens utmost and also to improve city images.
Currently the public transport is not so satisfactory in the three cities. Some of the buses are not fitting national 3 emission standards. And there is no enough bus lines in many parts of the city.
The city bus replacement plan can largely improve public transport level in the three cities and they will set examples for other places in Fujian Province.
