China Buses Export Surges Jan. to June

05 August 2010

www.chinabuses.org: As fast development of auto industry, China bus export surged in the first half year, and main bus manufacturers like Ankai, Yutong and King Long secured large orders for export.

Our traditional export markets are Africa, South America as well as Middle East, and many domestic bus builders are knocking out European and American markets in recent years.

It is introduced that admittance standards of European and American bus markets are rather high, and they have to pass ECE certificate in Europe and DOT requirement to the US. And the two standards rule high requirements on safety and environmental protection, as well as noise and ride performance. Successful entry to European and American markets of China buses show improvement on quality and safety performance.

However, we can never become optimistic blindly, and we need set strict standards on technology and service etc. Overseas customers have higher and higher requirements on chassis and emission standards, and some countries may adopts trade protectionism by raising technology barrier. Especially European markets have high requirements on bus technology and emission, and domestic bus builders have to do more to enter European markets in batches.

In addition, after-sales service has long been viewed as rather important internationally, and domestic bus builders may fail if they cannot provide effective after sales services. Currently China bus builders have lots of buyers just buying small number buses, so the sales service costs will he higher, and it is a test for many domestic bus builders.
