"Foton is not the first one to internationalization but we are doing the best on vehicle certificate, making partner on commercial KD cooperation and current direct investment, and we are confident to be the best in the future,”stated Dong Haiyang, general manager of overseas markets of Foton Motors.

The investment is also the first step of Foton “2011-2015 5+3+1 Global Development Strategy”. And Foton will build five plants in Russia, Brazil, Mexico, India, as well as Thailand etc five developing countries. And they will also try to enter EU, the US and Japan markets.

Currently there are about 1,400 Foton AUV hybrid buses running across China. In addition, Foton received orders of 700 units in domestic markets. And customers from the US, UK, Thailand and Poland are trying Foton buses. Apart from Foton AUV hybrid buses, Foton cell buses, pure electric buses and midi pure electric buses are putting into use in many cities.
