FAW Jilin Automobile to Build New Plant

www.chinabuses.org: FAW Jilin Automobile Co., Ltd. (FJA), a subsidiary of FAW Group announced on Jun 13 to build a new plant at Automobile Industrial Park in Jilin city. Approximately 300 attendees including Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee Sun Zhengcai and Jilin Vice Governor Wang Zuji, FAW Group President Xu Jianyi, Members of Board of Management of FJA, FJA's suppliers, dealers and some media journalists participated in the foundation laying ceremony,
The new plant covers an area of 700,000 square meters, and will go into operation at annual output capacity 400,000 units by the end of Jun 2012.
"To develop the business on the FAW's mini vehicle is not only the requirement of implementation of scientific outlook on development and acceleration of change in the pattern of economic development, but also one of the important parts of FAW's independent development strategy,"said Xu Jianyi, President of FAW Group. "It is FAW Group's entirety plan building FAW Jilin Automobile into an important mini vehicle production base."
High-ranking leadrers from Jilin province and Jilin city also made speeches at the ceremony to express their fully support to the development of FJA.
FJA Is located in tne Jilin city, a neighbour city of Changchun, which was founded in 1980 and became a wholly owned subsidiary of FAW Group in 1987. FJA is the earliest mini bus producer in China. After merging into FAW Group, the company is capable of producing a wide range of mini vehicles for consumers.
