08 April 2010
www.chinabuses.org: Isoto, part of the Isotlar Group, launched ambitious plans for further development of its bus production and export. Commencing operations in Adana production facilities in 2006 with 100% national and own capital, Isoto has exported all its production until December 2009, and, thus more than 600 buses went to foreign customers so far.
But the Isotlar Group has commissioned a new production facility in Bursa in 2009 in order to expand its production capacity. Meanwhile, Isoto has launched on the domestic market the 9 meters long City 900 and 12 meters long City 1200 citybuses based on MAN engines and driveline parts. Isoto claims that their buses belong to the lightest on the market. The City 900 has a capacity of 28 seated and 42 standing passengers. The body has an integral construction. It is powered by a 180 hp Euro 4, Turbo Intercooler Common Rail MAN engine. The gearbox is a ZF 6 forward/1 reverse gear ZF manual transmission; the rear axle is manufactured by MAN.
The 12 meter long City 1200 has a passenger capacity of 29 seated and 69 standing passengers. A 280 hp Euro 4, Turbo Intercooler Common Rail MAN engine powers the vehicle, which further uses a ZF Ecomat automatic transmission with TopoDyn software. The axles are also made by ZF, the City 1200 further features a retarder, ABS and ASR.
