BYD Changsha Bus Base to Put into Production in this October

www.chinabuses.org: According to the Changsha Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Changsha BYD will start the production in October and realize the annual production of 30,000 cars.

 
In August,2009, BYD invested RMB 3 billion Yuan to build up a new energy vehicle production base covering 4 square kilometers in Changsha, based on the overall acquisition of Midea Coach and has become a new energy vehicle company with integration of research, development, manufacturing and sales.

At present, the construction of Phase One of this project (covering more than 2,500 mu) has completely started, painting factory, wielding factory and No.8 factory have topped off. It strives to produce new cars in October and is predicted the annual production is 30,000 units in the whole 2010. In addition, it is planed to make 1,000 diesel powered buses (700 buses and 300 intercity buses) and 300 electric coaches for bus project in this year, which are applied in public transport and long-distance passenger-transport industry in Changsha.
