04 March 2010
www.chinabuses.org: FAW Group sets its new 2010 sales target recently. According to its plans, FAW targets to sell more than 2.3 million units in this year, up 18.3 percent year-on-year. The sales revenue plans to reach 290 billion yuan (42.5 billion U.S. dollars), up 11.2 percent year-on-year.
Thanks to the auto tax cut, trade-in subsidies and stimulus package, it sold 1.95 million units in the year of 2009 and the sales revenue reached 260.8 billion yuan. FAW says that the government stimulus, including subsidies on purchases of small vehicles in rural areas and of new-energy vehicles in pilot cities, and also old-for-new subsidies, will continue to spur sales this year. China will meet other auto sales peak in the year of 2010.
