03 March 2010
www.chinabuses.org: News from General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine shows that the number of auto recalls in the year of 2009 hit record high. According to related statistics, approximately 1.4 million autos and more than 30 brands were involved at last year, including Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Chana, etc. In 2009, the related departments received more than 10,000 complaints, and launched nearly 20 defective product investigations. With the rapid development of China auto industry, more and more customers complain about the quality of auto products.
Many Chinese auto experts appeal related departments and regulators need to strengthen efforts to control auto quality. The government should adopt suitable ways to make auto manufacturers realizing their problems and led them to announce recalls.
