China Auto Sale Surges in Jan

www.chinabuses.org: News from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM for short as below) reports that the auto production and sale continued surge in the first month of 2010 and keep a sustaining growth in China. According to CAAM's statistics, China totally produced 1.61 million autos in January, up 143 percent year-on-year. Compared the last month, the sales volume in January reached 1.66 million units, up 16.83 percent.
Domestic auto brands got a rapid growth in January and the sales volume reached 677,400 units, accounting for 49 percent of total sale. Among them, the production of commercial vehicles is up 7 percent and volume reached 370,800 units. The sales volume of commercial vehicles reached 348,200 units, up 12 percent month-on-month. Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation, Chana, FAW, Dongfeng and Beiqi placed the first five positions.
