Italy VM Motors Cooperates with Weichai for Project

www.chinabuses.org: Currently, Weichai Power Co.LTD signed introducing agreements of diesel engines of series D and RA with Italy VM Motors S.P.A. Weichai Power set up joint workgroup in charge of the related job after the introducing of the project with Yangzhou Diesel Engine with Lan Hong as the leader. Yangzhou Diesel Engine established the specific project group to confirm to complete the project on time with Guo Linshan, the assistant chief engineer and the manager of Technology Development Department as the leader.

Italy Motors S.P.A refers to the development as well as the manufacturing of engines and takes absolute leading position in the international diesel engine industry. VM engines apply the 21st century European advanced technology and are well-known for strong power. Since launching in the European market in batch quantity in 2001, VM engines are broadly used in the various light duty trucks, SUV,MPV,LDV and cars.
The cooperation involves D704、D754、RA425 and RA428. Series D adopts technologies such as VE rotor pump, hydraulic tappet, aluminium cylinder head and tunnel engine body. The products aim at the market of top minor works machine, relating to middle and high end light duty vehicles, generators and marine engines. Series RA clean engines employ the newest high-pressure common-rail fuel injection system, the intercooling and cooling exhaust gas recirculation technology and the leading technologies such as variable geometry turbocharger(VGT),two-axle balance, double overhead camshaft and 16 valve.
VM engines are equipped with the features of strong power, high speed and light weight. The pioneering technologies will be the first choice for the middle and high end light duty truck and become the stronger competitiveness in the market in the future.
