Forty-eight Companies Sets Henan Electric Vehicle Alliance

www.chinabuses.org: Henan Electric Vehicle Alliance was held in Zhengzhou, capital city of Henan province, on Jan. 24, 2010. And it would prove to be a supportive organization for development of electric vehicle concerning to productions, research and development.
Forty-eight companies and organizations joined the meeting, including Yutong Bus etc seven whole vehicle makers, Henan Huanyu Group etc twenty-nine spare parts companies, Zhengzhou University etc six colleges and universities and research institutions, and Zhengzhou Public Transport Company etc six terminal users.
The Alliance, directed by government, is organized in the light of equality, cooperation, mutual help and benefits to integrate enterprises, government, and colleges and universities for innovative mechanism and to put up public technological service platform and improve transformation of electric vehicle results. And allied procurement can also cut costs of manufacturing and production of electric vehicles.
"Any enterprises or organizations which have R&D, design, manufacturer ability on electric vehicle industry can apply for the Alliance,” said Zhao Ruidong, assistant secretary general of Henan province and president of Henan Electric Vehicle Alliance.
Another pure electric bus line will be constructed in April, 2010, and city express from Zhengzhou to Kaifeng will open in May, said Zhang Ji, assistant secretary general of municipal government of Zhengzhou. And three electric vehicle charging stations will be established in New District, East District as well as Shaolin Scenic District.
Person in charge of Public Works Bureau in Xinxiang said that construction of charging stations has started, and charging service will be available by June and the project will be completed in June, 2011. And they would have ten electric taxi, and the number will be one hundred by the end of the year.
