Hengtong Bus: Endless Effort for "Smooth Chongqing"

www.chinabuses.org: In the midmonth of December 2009, the Board of Managing Directors of Chongqing municipal decided to adopt the going on/off shift at different time and express buses in many lines in rush hours.
Hengtong Bus
On 24 August 2009, 46 Newman city buses with big capacity were formally applied in operation. These buses were the first 12-meter big buses used in the city high street for the Chongqing City Transport Development Investment Company. Then it used 54 new buses on the 465 ,462 line to contribute to the implementation of the "Smooth Chongqing" .
At the end of 2009, almost 400 private buses all were removed from the operation in the urban districts in Chongqing and replaced with the new Hengtong buses with good hardware and software facilities.
On 21 December 2009, the system of the going on/off shift at different time formally worked. The Hengtong express buses on 6 lines and the Hengtong buses on 6 interval bus lines effectively relieved the traffic jam in the rush hours and provided the guarantee for the citizens' going out.
Through one month's effort, 150 Hengtong 12-meter buses will be released in operation and make contribution for the "Smooth Chongqing".
