It offered a shortcut to Geely to fast access to the world auto market. Mr. Zhao Hang, a director of China Automotive Technology and Research Center, describes that this is a way for Chinese automakers to go abroad.

According to the Geely's long-term plan, it will focus on the development of new energy vehicle. Volvo has advanced relative technology and can lift the development pace of Geely. Auto experts say China may leave far behind the pace of developed countries in new energy auto sector if the current investment in research and development has no change. Geely makes a good example for many Chinese automakers.
