Taiyuan to Purchase 300 buses in 2010

www.chinabuses.org: There were 60 new buses standing on the Nanshangzhuang parking area of Taiyuan Public Transport Holdings Ltd. on 5 January 2010, which were part of the 300 buses purchased with about 14.64 million USD and the rest will be delivered before the spring festival. It is known that Taiyuan public transport will purchase anther 300 buses with the support of the local government in 2010.

 

 

There are two models for these 10-meter buses. One is 10.3 m* 2.48 m *3.06 m model produced by the DongFeng Yangtze Motor (Wuhan) Co.,Ltd. and the other is 10.2 m*2.5 m*3.04 m Newman series produced by Chongqing Hengtong Bus Co., Ltd, resembling the No.4 bus with straight line and filleted round. These new buses are bright white and light red and equipped with the windows similar to those of luxury coaches, which are different from the old buses. Publicity screen, LED electric sign, advertisement box, and brawny chairs are deployed. Additionally, color LED monitor, color reverse probe, steering wheel power steering system, GPS and automatic bus stop announcement system extremely promote the efficient and convenient transport service for the passenagers. The new gas-fuel buses apply electric engines with full passenger capacity of 90-100 people and the emission reducing by 30%. These new buses will be operated in this month after the finishing of the related procedure and possibly work on the proper line before the spring festival. 

 

Different from the staff's capital raising before, this purchase was paid through the loan of the company and the interest offered by the government. The transport company carried on the strict purchase biding and two won bid finally among the 10 companies. Apart from these 300 new buses, Taiyuan public transport will purchase anther 300 buses with the support of the local government in 2010.
