Hot Sales in December Helps Yutong Bus Sales Increase in 2009
07 January 2010
www.chinabuses.org: Sales volumes of Yutong buses in December largely increased month on month as well as year on year, so sales volumes of whole vehicles last year increased. These are largely due to national subsidy policies and favorable exports.
Yutong buses
According to Yutong Bus Production and Sales Express released on January 5, 4,520 buses were produced and 4,899 units sold out in December, 28,625 buses and 28,216 buses were produced and sold in 2009, up 6.45% and 2.29% year on year respectively. When speaking of bus models, 2,165 large buses, 2,218 medium buses and 516 light buses were sold out in December, and 11,197 large buses, 13,508 medium buses and 3,481 light buses were sold out in the whole year, up -6%, 9% and 6% year on year.
The peak selling period of December helped a lot. It’s December that is the conventional peak selling period, and 4,899 Yutong buses were purchased in this month, up 45% and 70% month on month respectively. The rapid increase in December illustrated that there is still increase room for bus industry.
The auto replacement policies can help bus industry. And larger subsidies were provided in the new auto replacement policy.
From January to November, 16,900 buses were exported, down 33% year on year, with no major improvement than the figure (-36%) in the first half year. And the main reason is that the major import country has a relatively slow economic recovery. Given striking cost performance advantages of domestic bus products, it predicts that we can see notable recovery of international orders for Chinese buses and coaches.
Gross profit in the fourth season will still be high. Sales of large and medium buses started to be back to normal from the third season, which was stronger than that of light buses, so were sales of Yutong buses, and sales volumes of large and medium buses have increased to 87.65% of the total sales volumes, together with whole vehicle anode electrophoresis painting production line, it predicts that single vehicle profits rate in the fourth season can still be high, about 17.3%.
