Maanshan Purchases Luxury Higer, King Long Buses with 4.39 Million USD

www.chinabuses.org: The first 20 luxury buses with air conditioner (AC)were driven into the parking area of the Maanshan Zhongbei Bus Company for operation at 7:00 p.m. or so, 2 January 2010. It marks that Maanshan takes the leading step in the implementation of the strategy with the priority to develop the city public transport.
It is known that there are fifty 10-meter CNG rear city buses and twenty 11-meter diesel fuel rear city buses with AC produced by Higer and Xiamen Kinglong Bus in the total 70 luxury buses purchased by Maanshan. About 4.39 Million USD is involved and the unit price of these first 20 buses is almost 117 thousand USD. Maanshan is one of the few cities with such luxury public transport buses currently in China.
Also, the first 20 luxury buses will be formally applied in the No.6 bus course on 10 January 2010 at the earliest convenience, which will be the first public transport course with full buses with AC in Maanshan. The second 50 luxury buses will be delivered in the last part of this month and used before the Spring Festival. At present, the ticket price is still 0.29 USD for new luxury large bus service and 0.14 USD for new public bus service.
