100 FAW Hybrid Buses will Run in Changchun

www.chinabuses.org: As an experimental city of popularizing energy-saving and new energy auto, Changchun will see 100 new energy buses before December 30, 2009. It’s learned that the buses are all hybrid vehicles made by FAW Bus Company.

Rate of economizing gasoline is around 31%
The 12-meter long hybrid buses can save about 31% gas compared with like public transport buses. And it’s also precedent that 100 hybrid buses started to run at the same time.
Given that the winter is rather cold in Changchun, all the 100 buses are equipped with air-conditioners.
All the buses will run on the People Street
As introduced by one person in charge of FAW bus, they have strike agreement with precedent of Changchun that the buses will be delivered before December 30, 2009. And the buses will run on Line 6 on People Street; and another 100 buses will be delivered next year, and a thousand vehicles will be provided to Changchun till 2012.
Hybrid buses made debut in Changchun
It’s learned that FAW hybrid buses integrated many self-developed new technologies which are dominating in domestic new energy bus and coach industry.
Currently FAW hybrid buses are running in Dalian, Beijing and Kunming. Compared with petrol-electric hybrid buses run in other cities, the gas-electric hybrid buses chosen by Changchun have smaller emission and more environmentally friendly.
