It’s reported that the electric vehicle city, located in Caofeidian New District Lingang Industrial Park, is named as “Haitian New Energy City”. The 2100 Mu (around 12,600 acres) zone will be constructed in three phases, and the front-end investment is 33,000,000,000 yuan (4,832,344,025 USD)

According to the project, Haitian New Energy City would possess thirty production lines with annual value of production of 186,000,000,000 yuan (27,236,848,142 USD) and annual output of 500,000 units including 300,000 pure electric sedans, 100,000 luxurious large buses and 100,000 luxurious commercial midibuses. At the same time, twenty charging stations will be built between Tangshan and Xianghe before late 2009, then one can drive electric vehicle from Tangshan to Beijing.
