www.chinabuses.org: Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG for short as below) is an environmental-friendly auto fuel. Many Chinese cities promote LPG application in inner-city buses and LPG is seen a clean energy in the world. However, a recent reports from the city of Guangzhou show that the emission of LPG buses is higher than diesel buses.  The results tell the emission of LPG bus is 127 times higher than those produced by diesel bus.

However, leading environmental experts do not agree with the results. Mr. Zhang Jinhua, the expert of Energy-Saving & New Energy Auto Project, says when two kinds of buses are operating under the exactly the same conditions and their results can be comparable. Otherwise, the test is scientifically meaningless. China auto experts believe that LPG bus has already been operating successfully in China for six years. Hence, LPG bus is suitable for inner-city bus industry and China's conditions.
