Yutong Cup Auto Driver Fuel-saving Final Competition will Open

www.chinabuses.org: The final for the bus fuel-saving "National Games" is going to kick off. The first National transportation industry "Yutong Cup" vehicle driver fuel-saving skills competition, hosted by Ministry of Transport, undertook by transportation department of Henan province and co-hosted by Yutong bus Co., Ltd., entered the final spurt. Fifth skillful fuel-saving drivers from all over China joined the match.
It's learned that the competition started in April and Fuzhou saw the first qualifying competition on July 7 with the final qualifying competition in Guiyang on September 7. Two executive teams composed of the Competition Organizing Committee and Yutong bus traveled more than 40,000 km in 18 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, nearly three fourth of Chins territory, during the two months. More than 470 drivers and 230 enterprises, totally 10,000 persons, have joined the activity setting off new tide of energy-saving and emission reduction in the whole society.

Relying on many years' experience on energy-saving skills, Yutong bus provided ZK6127H "Shenxingjian", which means holy sword, as the competition vehicle. In addition, engineers from Yutong prepared comprehensive fuel-saving knowledge and skills training for competitors, which won great praise by transport companies and drivers. "The technique training made by Yutong is of some scientific and directive significance," said Zhanghao, deputy dean of China Academy of Transportation Sciences.

The final is also composed of comprehensive theory and fuel-saving driving. The former mainly investigates professional ethics of drivers and their grasp of laws and regulations on transportation and fuel-saving and emission reduction and also knowledge and skills of fuel-saving which constitutes 30% of overall scores; the latter is divided into specified driving and oil consumption test taking 70% scores, and specified driving is 10%, while oil consumption test is 60% of the final scores.
