Pure Electric City Buses holding test riding in Beijing

www.chinabuses.org: Four pure electric vehicles whose core components provided by Liaoyuan Liyuan New Energy Company employed as guests vehicles by US-China Clean Energy Forum were exhibited in Dianyutai State Guesthouse on October 22. Some delegates participating in the conference and journalists joined test ride of some pure electric city buses, electric sedans, and electric medium-buses.
The four electric buses comprised of electric Benteng sedan, electric medium-bus, Dongfeng high-grade large bus, and Dongfeng luxury large bus with independent intellectual property rights and tens of domestic and overseas patents. These electric vehicles employ large capacity lithium iron phosphate cells which can be recycled for over 2000 times. At the same time, brushless DC motor and control system independently developed by the company, with five national patent and maximum power up to 240kw, was also exhibited.
It’s learned that Dongfeng Fenghuang buses co-developed by China Liyuan and Dongfeng Automobile have already operated in Liaoyuan and Tangshan. Mass production of electric buses in both cities will start late this year, and the initial production capacity is about 60 units one month.
Zhu Wencan, General Manager of Dongfeng Touring Car Co., Ltd., introduced that their company has always been in the front rank of in the development of new energy vehicles. Dongfeng Automobile has got 17 practical new patens on cell management technology, drive control, and complete vehicle design etc since the first Dongfeng pure electric bus developed in 2005. At present, urban Dongfeng Tianyi pure electric buses have test run nearly 20,000 km. And Dongfeng new energy vehicles include passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, urban buses etc, especially pure electric and hybrid buses.
