VOLVO leveled Silver Buses 900 New Buses off Line

Silver 900 Buses developed by Xi’an Silver Bus Co., Ltd. which was co-invested by Xi'an Aircraft International of China Aviation Industry Group and Volvo Bus Company were launched on September 27, 2009. After tested by NAST National Automobile Quality Supervision and Test Center), Silver 900 Buses reach or approach like products of Volvo in its main performance with half prices.
In the out line ceremony for the Silver 900 Buses, Sun Anhui, Deputy Secretary of the Shaanxi provincial government, Geng Ruguang, Deputy General Manager of AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China), and Meng Xiangkai, Chairman of Xi'an Aircraft International of China Aviation Industry Group and also Director of Silver Company, and Mr. Tommy Svensson who is the senior vice-president of Volvo Bus Company in China cut the ribbon for the first Silver bus. The General Manager of Silver Company Mr. Joost introduced Silver 900 New Buses and future development plan to visitors and media.
Silver 900 New Buses Off Line
Silver 900 Bus is 12-meter luxury bus which meet the standard of Ministry of Communications for “Large High Ⅱ ”, and the bus can be used in public road transport, tourist reception and military equipment meeting the standards of ECE R66. And its main performance of engine, acceleration, brake, control, noise, and oil wear etc. reach or approach like products of Volvo. Silver 900 bus is second generation product with intellectual property and independent brand after over ten years accumulation of manufacture and development. Currently, Silver 900 Bus has signed orders for 47 buses, and they signed orders for 12 buses in the off line ceremony and domestic orders of intent for over 400 buses. They import over 300 chassis to Malaysia every year. There are Volvo and Silver under Silver company, in which Volvo is high-end product, and Silver buses aim to highway busansport etc medium to high grade buses.
“Silver 900 Bus is an important breakthrough in the construction of self intellectual property,” said Meng Yukai, Chairman of Xi'an Aircraft International of China Aviation Industry Group and also Director of Silver Company. The buses meet the requirement of Chinese markets, and highlight the advantage of high cost performance, so customers can enjoy the noble quality of Volvo at the price of Chinese-made buses. Xi'an Aircraft International will focus on the development of cars and buses, such as improving R&D ability, reducing costs, and releasing new energy products. Silver Buses plans to produce 4,000 vehicles a year till 2014 with Chinese brand 60% of total saleroom.
