Chongqing Changan Automobile Co. Ltd., China’s state-owned automaker, will invest $80 million to build a car plant in South Africa, Business Report said, citing Yang Qing, General Manager of Chana International Corp.

The five year investment will create as many as 1,000 jobs with the production plant reaching an annual capacity of 50,000 units.
