On Jul. 1, ZHANG Zhihong, Deputy Director of Hi-tech Division of Ministry of Science and Technology revealed that China has over 300,000 units of alternative fuel-powered vehicles (AFV) now on the road. Featuring high fuel economy and low emission, AFVs are currently gaining increasingly popularity among the general public.
To further promote research on and application of the advanced technologies for intelligent transport solutions, the fifth China Intelligent Transport Congress & the sixth International Energy-Saving and New Energy Vehicle Innovation and Development Forum and Exhibitions, under the theme of “intelligent transport, new energy vehicle---new way of mobility” is scheduled to be held in Shenzhen on Dec. 11-13, 2009.
