Xiamen Golden Dragon And Universities And 6 Enterprises to Establish An Alliance

June 19, 2009, at the seventh China • Straits projects fair Fujian industrial projects signing ceremony, Xiamen Golden Dragon Co., Ltd. and Fujian Academy of Engineering College, as well as the production of motor-driven, control system, inverter, power mixer six enterprises signed the "establishment of the Fujian Provincial hybrid bus drive assembly production, study and research alliance agreement."
The alliance compose voluntarily by the universities, vehicle enterprises, electric motor enterprises, electric control products, machinery manufacturing enterprises, the Alliance members will hold the concept of creating market, sharing resources and common development objectives, through the integration of hybrid bus industry chain R & D, design, manufacturing, component suppliers and end-users and other resources to strengthen the industry, academia, research and effective convergence, and effectively reduce the cost of R & D for new bus models, share technology and strive to build hybrid bus industries supporting system, enhance competitiveness of Fujian in the new energy of the automotive industry, make Fujian automobile industry bigger and stronger.
According to statistics by the end of 2008, 17 provinces in domestic and more than 20 enterprises involved in the development of hybrid bus, most of them still in the running test and demonstration phase, only Xiamen Golden Dragon etc. five companies start commercial operation.
