CNG Engines Made in Nanchong Take a Leading Role

Reporter learned from Nanchong City Economic Committee that CNG engines made in Nanchong had been recommended by National Automobile Industry Association as the first choice for national city buses clean fuel engines on June 21, 2009.Currently, CNG engines made by Dongfeng Nanchong Automobile Co, .Ltd account for 80 percent of total market sales share, and it’s the largest CNG engines production enterprise in China.
Dongfeng Nanchong Automobile Co, .Ltd was chosen as national clean fuel automobile motion industrial experimental enterprise 3 years ago. With the release of national automobile industry promotion plan, Dongfeng Nanchong Automobile Co, .Ltd pays more attention to products research and development, its supplementary investment reaches nearly 10 million yuan ($1,466,300), and it upgrades CNG engines general assembly line. Of which, the natural gas single fuel engine owns two proprietary technology ,meets Euro III Emission Standard, and it is listed as the state-level key new product by the National Technical Department, the Industry and Informationization Department, the Environmental Protection Bureau.
Dongfeng Nanchong Automobile Co, .Ltd possesses annual production 20,000 units capability since CNG engine production line technology transformed last year.Currently, the company has got lots of engines orders, and all the employees are busy with engines production, and they make sure to deliver the CNG engines to users in time.CNG engines production exceeded 8,000 units in the first five months, up 65 percent compared with the same period last year.
