Zhongtong Bus Displays Two Premium Electric Models at Macau Auto Show

The 16th China (Macau) International Automobile Expo kicked off grandly at The Venetian Macao Cotai Expo on October 30, 2026. Zhongtong Bus brought two star products to the show: the N12D double-decker battery-electric city bus and the L8E battery-electric coach. The brand fully demonstrated its green and intelligent transportation solutions covering diverse scenarios, helping deliver low-carbon transformation and smart upgrading for public mobility in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
A benchmark model built for urban commuting, cultural and sightseeing tours, the Zhongtong N12D double-decker battery-electric city bus grabbed the spotlight with its large passenger capacity, long driving range and intelligent safety performance.
Adopting a 3-door, 2-stair layout, the N12D can carry up to 122 passengers for sightseeing trips. Equipped with a low-floor design, it enables fast passenger boarding and alighting. Its high carrying capacity ensures high operational efficiency, meeting travel demands during peak hours and urban sightseeing requirements.
The N12D also excels in range performance. Fitted with high-capacity, high-performance power batteries, it delivers a driving range of over 400 km on a single charge. Supported by dual-gun DC fast charging technology, the vehicle can be quickly recharged for greater convenience and efficiency, easing range anxiety.
The N12D comes with intelligent parking assist, electronic rear-view mirrors, a 360-degree surround view system, Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW), among other smart safety features. These functions improve driving comfort while safeguarding safe vehicle operation.
Also unveiled at the expo, the L8E battery-electric coach features smooth body lines and an elegant, refined appearance with strong visual identity. Suited for tourist charters, business shuttles, group commutes and customized mobility services, it balances attractive design and practical performance.
The L8E is powered by an e-axle with high integration and a transmission efficiency of over 95%. Its all-in-one powertrain domain controller cuts weight by 50% compared with conventional setups, achieving lighter curb weight and better energy efficiency.
As a service platform for business and trade cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, Macau serves as a key hub for Zhongtong Bus to expand its global footprint.
