Luanda, Angola – September 15 (local time): Higer Bus hosted a successful product roadshow for its new V-Series in Luanda, the capital of Angola. Supported by Angola's Ministry of Transport, the event drew representatives from dozens of local passenger transport companies. Higer secured letters of intent for more than 50 buses at the event, marking a fresh chapter in Higer's partnership with the Angolan market.

Lu Hongfa, General Manager of Guangjin Group, Higer's local distributor in Angola, reviewed the long-standing cooperation between Higer and Angola and highlighted the solid trust built over years of collaboration. He announced the official launch of Higer's new V-Series in Angola. Two models, the V8 and V12, were on physical display for guests to board and inspect, alongside an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Existing customers shared their real-world operational experience with Higer vehicles, offering strong praise and expressing admiration for the capabilities of the new V-Series.

Xia Guolin, Regional Manager of Higer Africa, delivered an in-depth introduction to the new V-Series. Developed over three years, the next-generation V-Series brings comprehensive upgrades in safety, energy efficiency, durability and ride comfort. "The new V-Series is built to meet user expectations and embodies Higer's vision. Angola is a key strategic market for Higer in Africa. We will keep delivering better products and services to create greater value for our customers," he said.
About the New V-Series
The V-Series underwent a three-year development cycle and completed 400,000 kilometres of reliability testing, validating its performance under extreme conditions including high temperatures, frigid climates and high-altitude environments. Drawing on operational data from over 2,000 vehicles deployed in China, the platform has been continuously refined, laying a robust foundation for the Angola-spec version.
Adopting modular and universal design, the model cuts spare part categories by 73%, significantly lowering customers' inventory costs. LED headlights come as standard across the range, while improved handling delivers an easy-to-operate, user-friendly driving experience for local operators.
Angola presents tough operating challenges: coastal regions suffer salt corrosion, inland areas face heavy dust, and some routes feature steep gradients under intense heat, placing stringent demands on bus durability and environmental adaptability.
To address these pain points, the new V-Series features targeted optimisations covering corrosion resistance, dustproofing, heat dissipation, reliability, maintenance and passenger comfort. Aluminium alloy compartment doors and full-body electrophoretic coating protect the vehicle against coastal salt spray. Redesigned sealing for the body and engine bay blocks dust ingress. The engine radiator features a 25% larger heat dissipation area, ensuring stable engine performance during prolonged heavy-load climbing in hot weather.
Higer's ties with Angola stretch back decades. In 2005, Higer became the first Chinese bus brand to enter the Angolan market. With more than 1,000 Higer buses now operating across the country after over 20 years of local presence, consistent product quality and reliable after-sales support have earned deep trust from local operators. The rollout of the new V-Series kicks off a new phase of Higer's development in Angola.
The launch of the new V-Series not only marks a new milestone in product upgrade, but also opens a new chapter to deepen partnerships and pursue win-win outcomes. Moving forward, Higer will further strengthen its localised service network. With superior vehicles, comprehensive after-sales support and flexible cooperation solutions, Higer will continue to serve the Angolan market. Working hand in hand with local partners, Higer will contribute to high-quality, sustainable development of Angola's public transport sector and write new stories of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.
