Spain is consolidating its position as a strategic market, with sales having tripled over the past three years.
At the trade fair, the company presents the latest evolution of the Spica, one of the benchmark models in its Mercedes-Benz premium range.
INDCAR, a leading company in the design and manufacture of minibus bodies, is taking part in FIAA 2026 at a time of growth and consolidation of its business in Spain. The trade fair, taking place from September 22 to 24 at IFEMA Madrid, provides the setting chosen by the company to share its key business figures, projects and the latest evolution of the Spica.
The presentation took place on September 22 at 12:30 p.m., as part of FIAA 2026, with the participation of Gaël Queralt, CEO of INDCAR, who addressed the company's evolution, its forecasts for 2026 and its development in the Spanish market.
At its stand 9C08 in Hall 9, INDCAR is showcasing four models from its range: the Wing and the 100% electric e-Mobi City, both based on an Iveco platform, and the Spica and Shaula, belonging to the premium range and developed on Mercedes-Benz chassis. One of the main highlights of this edition is the latest evolution of the Spica.
Growth and consolidation in Spain
INDCAR expects to reach €70 million in revenue and 625 units in 2026, maintaining the growth trajectory of recent years. In 2025, the company closed another record-breaking year, reaching new highs in revenue and production and further consolidating the growth path initiated in previous years.
The Spanish market is playing a key role in this evolution. Between 2024 and 2026, INDCAR's sales in Spain increased from €5 million to €16 million, also driven by new contracts awarded by operators such as Guaguas Municipales, TUSGSAL, EMTUSA and Soler i Sauret. One of the most significant projects is the contract awarded by TMB (Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona), linked to the brand's new project, the Spica Low Entry, developed for urban transport services.
This growth has also strengthened INDCAR's position in the Spanish minibus market, where the company has a 23% market share in the 5.5 T and >6 T segments, with a range that includes the Wing, Mobi, Shaula and Spica models. Its position is particularly
strong in the >6 T segment, where INDCAR holds a 62% market share. In this segment, the Iveco Wing remains the leading product in the Spanish market. “We are a clear benchmark in the >6 T segment,” says Gaël Queralt, CEO of INDCAR.
This evolution forms part of INDCAR's consolidation process in new European markets, including Switzerland, Finland, Sweden and Germany.
New evolution of the Spica
One of INDCAR's main highlights at FIAA is the latest evolution of the Spica, one of the benchmark models in its premium range based on Mercedes-Benz chassis. The update incorporates improvements in design, comfort, technology and efficiency, including new pultruded polyester side panels, acoustic and lighting enhancements, a new generation of the multimedia system and a second original Mercedes-Benz battery with deep-discharge protection.
The updated vehicle also allows for an approximately 3% reduction in vehicle weight, improving efficiency and payload capacity, while incorporating enhancements to the rear camera, electronic management and various elements designed to facilitate maintenance.
With this latest evolution of the Spica, INDCAR presents one of the main new additions to its range at FIAA and reinforces its commitment to continuing to develop solutions tailored to the needs of passenger transport.
