Ankai Delivers K75E Electric Buses for Wanzhou's Rural-Urban Transit Upgrade

27 August 2026

Located in the heart of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area in northeastern Chongqing, Wanzhou is a key port city on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Its rugged mountainous terrain has long made passenger travel between urban and rural areas a challenge.
Recently, 24 Ankai K75E electric mid-size buses were officially delivered to Wanzhou Tiancheng Passenger Transport Co., Ltd. The fleet will operate on the intercity-rural route connecting Wanzhou city centre with Fenshui Town, supporting the integration of urban and rural passenger services and contributing to high-quality local transport development.

With low-carbon transition goals gaining momentum, local operators have raised their expectations for new-energy vehicles in terms of range, road adaptability, ride comfort and safety. Built on Ankai's new K-series platform, the K75E is powered by a 165 kWh high-capacity battery and an intelligent thermal management system. Combined with an integrated e-drive axle and a multi-in-one fusion controller, it delivers strong performance while keeping energy consumption low.

At 7.5 metres in length, the bus offers optimal capacity for its class, carrying up to 30 passengers. It also features large dual-compartment luggage bays, well suited to the combined passenger-and-freight needs typical of township and rural routes.

Once in service, the new buses will enhance travel experiences for residents along the Wanzhou–Fenshui corridor, shorten journey times between town and countryside, and help build a more convenient, green and smart urban-rural passenger network.

Following delivery, Ankai set up a dedicated service team to provide on-site technical training for drivers and maintenance staff. Sessions covered daily operations, three-electric system maintenance and rapid fault diagnosis, ensuring reliable fleet performance throughout its service life. This full-lifecycle proactive support enables the operator to run and maintain the new fleet efficiently.

The delivery marks another practical example of Ankai's product strength in the urban-rural passenger transport segment. Looking ahead, Ankai will continue to supply high-quality vehicles and dependable after-sales support for rural and inter-town public transport, advancing green mobility for communities across China.
