Taiwan Students Tour Golden Dragon Plant, Bond over Football Match

On July 23, student delegates from the Kaohsiung Branch of the Student Alliance, on a study tour in Fujian, embarked on a journey that blended technology and sports. The group visited the manufacturing base of Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co., Ltd. to explore its intelligent manufacturing and new energy technologies. That evening, they played a friendly football match against the Golden Dragon Bus team. Through the experience, young people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait witnessed the strength of "Smart-Made in Fujian" while forging closer bonds on the pitch.
In the morning, the students toured Golden Dragon's production workshops for an up-close look at modern industrial manufacturing. As a benchmark enterprise in Fujian's advanced manufacturing sector, Golden Dragon showcased its innovations in the new energy vehicle industry. Along automated assembly lines, the students observed every stage—from precision component processing and intelligent body welding to whole-vehicle performance testing and new energy battery deployment—sparking keen interest among the visitors.
With professional guidance and live demonstrations from on-site technicians, the Taiwanese students witnessed the complete manufacturing process of a coach bus firsthand. They gained tangible insights into the rapid intelligent upgrading and solid industrial foundation of the Chinese mainland's high-end equipment manufacturing sector. Many students noted that the visit dispelled outdated stereotypes of traditional manufacturing, allowing them to experience the vibrant momentum and promising future of Fujian's science and technology industries.
That evening, the students changed into sportswear and competed in an energetic friendly football match against the enterprise team. Both sides remained highly focused throughout the game, with swift transitions and smooth teamwork. Skillful passes and sharp attacking shots drew constant cheers from the sidelines. Sweating it out on the pitch, the young people built trust and friendship through spirited competition.
On the morning of July 24, the study group visited the headquarters of Xiamen Airlines to learn about aviation operation systems and technological innovations. From new energy coaches on land to smart civil aircraft in the sky, the participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the emerging drivers of productivity in Fujian Province.
Blending the industrial confidence of intelligent manufacturing with the human warmth of sports exchange, this study tour enabled Taiwanese students to experience the mainland's economic vitality through Golden Dragon's production lines and to feel the inseparable kinship between compatriots through athletic competition. More than just a field investigation into Fujian's advanced manufacturing, this activity served as a vivid practice of cross-Strait youth coming together to communicate and envision a shared future.
