SAIC Ultra-capacitor Buses to Serve World Expo to Go off Line Soon

As a strategic cooperative partner of 2010 Shanghai World Expo, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. (hereinafter referred to as SAIC) is expected to supply 1,000 new energy buses, including ultra-capacitor buses, hybrid buses, all-electric coaches, and fuel-cell coaches, etc.
Recently, an ultra-capacitor bus, independently developed by SAIC, made its debut to the public. It is expected that a fleet of the new bus model will go off the production line and start their trial operation in Shanghai in this month.
In the meantime, the second round of building all-electric buses, hybrid buses and fuel-cell buses is now underway. An all-electric bus manufactured by SAIC, won “Green Bus” title at 2009 Shanghai Busworld Exhibition in early Apr.
