China's Tires Industry Overly Rely on Europe and America

According to Shenzhen Customs, China's tires industry is overly relying on Europe and America, and has been through repeated anti-dumping by them, export is under greater pressure. Data from Shenzhen Customs show that, tires export in Shenzhen port decline rapidly in April, total tires export in Shenzhen port are 7,308,000 units from January to April, down by 24.8% y/y.
It’s worth noting that: Currently China’s tires overly rely on export, mainly export to Europe and America. All-steel load- carrying tires production reaches more than 70 million units, domestic annual demand of these are about 40 million, 45% of the tires rely on export. According to Shenzhen customers, Shenzhen port tires export to America were 4,054,000 units from January to April, rapidly declined 40.1%, American market still accounted for half of the export, around 55.5% of total export. If special protection investigation comes into effect, it will seriously threaten our development of tires industry in Europe and America.
For this, Shenzhen Customs proposed: Relevant departments and associations should pay a close attention to the issue, help enterprises out in this issue, early response to this, in case trade protection country launches some measures which will be against us.
