MAXUS Recognized as a Full Five-Star Safety Brand by Euro NCAP

05 December 2025

The latest 2025 commercial-van ratings from Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) have been announced. Maxus's all-electric vans—the eDeliver 9 and the eDeliver 7—have both earned the highest five-star safety rating, thanks to their comprehensive and robust protective features. With these results, the Deliver 5, New Tour V70, eDeliver 7, New Tour V90, and eDeliver 9 all now carry Euro NCAP five-star badges, making Maxus the world's first—and currently only—commercial vehicle brand whose entire lineup has achieved Euro NCAP's top safety rating. This flawless performance sets a new global benchmark for commercial vehicle safety.

Dual Five-Star Recognition for Robust Safety

Regarded as the gold standard in automotive safety testing, Euro NCAP’s 2025 protocol has further raised the requirements for active safety, collision avoidance, and occupant protection. The outstanding scores achieved by the NeDeliver 7 and eDeliver 9 highlight their exceptional safety credentials and core competitiveness.

Each model demonstrated distinct strengths during assessment. The eDeliver 9 excelled in the collision avoidance category, with its standard-fit Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system recording zero collisions in all cyclist-impact scenarios—earning the segment's highest score and showcasing the safety confidence of a full-size commercial van. The eDeliver 7 delivered consistently balanced results, with its AEB system integrated with Forward-Collision Warning (FCW) showing class-leading response speed and accuracy across vehicle-, pedestrian-, and cyclist-detection tests.

Notably, both vans received customized calibration of their Lane Support Systems (LSS) to accommodate Europe’s narrow streets, dense roundabouts, and heavy bicycle traffic. A dual-mode logic—combining gentle correction with emergency intervention—ensures stable vehicle control, while the Blind-Spot Information and Intelligent Speed-Assist systems earned Euro NCAP praise for their high adaptability and reliability. Together, these features form a complete “predict-avoid-protect” active safety chain. Following the earlier five-star success of the eDeliver 5, Maxus's three core van models now form an all-five-star safety lineup, demonstrating the global resonance of "Made in China" safety excellence.

14 Five-Star Models Build a Global Safety Moat

A consistent top performer in the world's most stringent safety assessments, Maxus has long been recognized as a "five-star specialist." With these latest certifications, the brand's global tally of top-tier safety awards now reaches 14, spanning Europe (Euro NCAP), Australia (ANCAP), and China (C-NCAP), and covering MPVs, SUVs, pickups, light vans, and new-energy vehicles—an unparalleled "five-star safety matrix." This repeated success stems from Maxus's user-centric philosophy of "global R&D + scenario-specific adaptation," supported by the combined strengths of "Tech Maxus" and "Global Maxus."

For European markets, every five-star Maxus model comes standard with L2-level Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), effectively reducing accident risks for high-mileage commercial users. At the platform level, the HDT super-commercial EV architecture provides the van family with ultra-high-strength steel body structures, multi-layer battery safety protection, and proprietary driving algorithms—creating a technical foundation that ensures safety through innovation.

The dual five-star achievement not only makes Maxus the first Chinese brand with a fully Euro NCAP five-star-certified commercial vehicle portfolio but also reinforces its commitment to deepening technical expertise and expanding globally. Moving forward, Maxus will continue to deliver five-star-safe products tailored to customers worldwide, further solidifying its role as a leading "Chinese commercial vehicle ambassador" on the global stage.
