NANJING — November 27, 2025 marked the opening of the 2025 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference in Nanjing, where Weichai’s “High-End Engine Smart Factory Based on a Digital and Intelligent Lean Model” project was included in the first national cultivation list for leading-edge smart factories. This recognition establishes Weichai as a benchmark for intelligent transformation in China’s equipment manufacturing sector.

Only 15 enterprises nationwide were selected for this inaugural “leading-edge smart factories” list, which represents the highest tier of intelligent manufacturing achievement in China. Prior to this, Weichai and its subsidiaries had already secured five spots in the “excellent-level” smart factory list. The progression from “excellent” to “leading” further demonstrates Weichai’s forefront position in digital and intelligent transformation. At the conference, Weichai joined fellow selected enterprises in jointly launching the Leading Action Plan Initiative, aiming to foster a collaborative development ecosystem in intelligent manufacturing and contribute renewed momentum to China’s vision of becoming a manufacturing powerhouse.

Weichai’s leadership stems from its deep commitment to “digital and intelligent lean” practices. At the concurrent 2025 World Intelligent Manufacturing Expo, the company comprehensively demonstrated the application of AI across key business domains through five thematic sections: AI in R&D, AI in Manufacturing, AI in Sales and Service, AI Product Solutions, and AI-Powered Systems.
